Support UC Davis Cancer Center
Securing the National Cancer Institute's coveted cancer center designation in 2002 crowns twelve years of dramatic progress for the UC Davis Cancer Center, the university, and the communities we serve in inland California. The Cancer Center is serving a patient population, growing at a rate of 10% yearly, with highly skilled, personalized care and the most advanced treatments available. Complementing our clinical care is a rapidly growing, multi-disciplinary research component.
By all measures, the Cancer Center is steadily advancing its mission: our superior patient care is nationally recognized, our clinical care network is growing, and our basic science researchers are working creatively and collaboratively to speed breakthroughs into the nature and causes of cancer. These new insights fuel the efforts of our translational and clinical scientists, whose innovative therapies mean hope for our patients and their families.
Private philanthropy is critical not only to sustain the hope generated by our advancements in cancer research and patient care but also to advance us toward the NCI-driven goal of eliminating the suffering and death from cancer by 2015.
